I had high hopes for this machine and it let me down. I received the first one and it didn't work and had to exchange. The second worked, but was very messy. I will say it makes a good cup, but it needs to be cleaned often.
I have waited and waited and waited and waited, finally I received my new Verismo, I call it my Verisma. Alabaster.., I love - love- love . Starbucks shipped 4 of them out - until they finally got it right, it's perfect. Thank You FINALLY! I can sip my coffee and sit out on my patio, and enjoy. I waited a long time. but it's here, and I'm lovin' it!!!@!@!@!@
I order a Verismo 600 the first one I got didn't work had to send it back reordered a second one (still have not received my money back on the first one) and the second Verismo didn't work either after spending 30 minutes on the phone with a tech I have to send it back. Now I have 6 boxes of espresso waiting to be brewed with no Verismo to brew it in. Debating if I should buy a 3rd providing I ever get my money back.
I love this machine. In the past I would go to Starbucks a few times a week. I have stopped going as much because my home coffee taste great! Some reviews say it is limited on the drinks you can make. This is not true with syrups you can make ANYTHING! I purchase starbucks' syrups and off brand powders (for mocha) and the results are wonderful. Do not buy the pods for milk. They leave a gross after taste and you will not be happy with your coffee result. Instead spend a little extra and get the milk frothier. It is well worth the money. It will save in the long run as you use your own milk and will not need (or want) to buy milk pods ever again. I also use my machine for everyday brewed coffee. I use the blonde roast. I am the only person in my house to drink coffee. This is much more convenient, and waste less than my brewer. I don't remember the last time I used my brewer. Overall I would recommend this machine to any coffee lover it is well worth the money!
It's a nice machine and it works really well. I just wish there were more options as far as coffee that goes in it :/ the choices are very limited. But overall, I am realtively happy with it.
It is a lovely object that gets the job done in the morning. I had to give up the regular drip brew machine because it had a four cup minimum and I was wasting too much coffee. Sadly, the amount of coffee I drink takes two pods, twice as long, and the brew, Verona, my all time favorite, tastes very little like it did when I brewed it. I will play with it for a while and see if I can make it better, but I'm sad that I paid so much for a machine that delivers too little of what I used to love.
Overall the machine works o.k. but not as it should. It is brewing two once espresso's when they should be one ounce. You are supposed to be able to program the drink size's but it will not work. Starbucks exchanged the brewer and the second one does exactly the same thing. I also tried a factory reset which does nothing. Starbucks should really fix this issue, their support department doesn't have a clue when you call them.
My first Verismo 600 I had for about 4 months. It would only let me make one cup of brewed coffee because the second one the machine would explode my pod and grounds would go everywhere. I sent it back and quickly got a new one, four days in it does the same thing and grounds are everywhere. I sent it back 5 days ago and am currently waiting for a new one. If it continues to give me the same problem I will just get my money back. Either I got the same machine back or Starbucks has a hard time testing their products before selling them. I have been going on 5 weeks without being able to brew coffee at home because Starbucks has given me the run around for that long.
I love this machine, I use it for my tea and coffee. The water is a perfect temperature for my tea.
The big plus for this machine is that you can make a traditional cup of coffee and espresso. It's appearance is attractive and feels like an ok quality machine. It's compact for smaller spaces, but has a small water tank. I was a little disappointed once I'd set up the machine and I found no pods included as advertised. I traveled to two different Starbucks locations that evening before I found a store with a Pod inventory of espresso. This was one of my biggest concerns about switching to a Pod system from a traditional espresso machine. I'm concerned over long term availability of pods based on the low inventory that I saw when purchasing. I do not recommend this for the serious espresso drinker. It's a cheaper machine alternative and ultimately it delivers a good single shot of espresso (no double shot pods as far as I'm aware). What you save on the machine, you'll most likely spend in coffee Pods. Especially if you drink 2 or more per day. Good for a single espresso drinking household.
