Love a Strong, Dark Italian. Smooth, strong and dark... perfecto Italiano. Brews up strong but has a smooth, melt in your mouth finish. February 16, 2015
My favorite coffee I came to love this coffee when I lived in Portland and stopped in to their coffee shop every morning on my way to work. Now, living 3,000 miles away I will do anything and pay any price to continue having it every day. February 6, 2015
bland This is the first coffee I have tasted from the Starbucks Reserve and I was very disappointed. I tasted the coffee in a brewer, k-cup and it was still blah. I will try it in a coffee press to see if there's any flavor in it. Not worth the money I paid for it. I hope the other Special Reserves I purchased have a good flavor, taste and are worth the money spent for "Special Reserve". December 28, 2014
Love the taste! I first had this coffee at Hyatt and realized I no longer enjoyed my other coffee . December 24, 2014

Torrefazione Italia !!

from San Antonio, TX

Favorite coffee and favorite coffee shop ever, Palo Alto and SF, CA! Well except for LGCRC, circa 1983. Glad to hear Starbucks bought up the brand.

I think I am in Italy when I smell and then drink this blend. Strong like espresso but with flavor that is pure Starbucks. It is also good on ice cream.

Used this both as regular brew and in my espresso machine and both are dynamic!! Great rich taste, smooth and full bodied! Also added to regular coffee to put a spark in it!

Since I don't like weak, flavorless coffee, I'm a big fan of Torrefazione Italia Napoli Blend. Friends at work like it as well. Being a dark roast coffee, it has a strong, smooth flavor--not bitter or harsh. It's especially good if you're having a cup with food, as it can stand up to those other flavors. Of course, after a few days I feel the need to lighten up on the rocket fuel; that's when I mix it with a fresh grinding of TI Perugia Blend. During my next trip to Seattle, I hope to cross paths with the other TI dark roast blends and load up on the ones I already like.
