Subscription Item:
24 piece
Black tea kissed with bergamot's lavender essence.
Availability:  This item is in stock.
If you lose your way, look for the bergamot sun.

A ship packed with crates of fragrant black teas heeled through inky waters toward the clearing of the bergamot sun in search of the Isle of Lavender—to forever soften this headstrong blend with floral notes.

Black Tea

Black tea is the fully oxidized leaf of Camellia sinensis and requires the most processing. The brewed liquor ranges between dark brown and deep red. Black teas offer the strongest flavors and, in some cases, the greatest astringency.

Did You Know?

This traditional tea is named after British diplomat Earl Charles Grey, who became Prime Minister of the UK in the early 1830s. Legends have sprung up around how the well-traveled Earl may have come by the recipe for this bergomot-flavored tea, but we're just glad he passed it on to the masses.

Tasting Notes Floral, spicy lavendar, lemon.

For Best Brewing

  1. Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil at 212F (100c).
  2. Pour 8 fl oz (236 ml) of water over the filterbag in your cup.
  3. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Wait patiently for perfection.

Pale comparison go Full Leaf Version This tea is okay, not great, if you're a fan of the now-discontinued Tazo tea @ Starbucks stores. Has a similar flavor profile, but it's MUCH weaker than the full leaf version. Starbucks, please bring back the Full Leaf Earl Grey Tea!! January 16, 2015
Satisfying Great aroma and taste. Very satisfying. Good price too. January 11, 2015
Miss the Starbuck's difference I was really hoping these were going to be in the silk tea bags as Starbucks tins always used to have. I wAs so disappointed to get my order and see they are just the same as I can get at the grocery store. Why change such a wonderful differentiation you had before?? January 11, 2015
Almost perfect The aroma and taste of the tea is wonderful. I used to buy this tea, when I lived abroad all the time. It is a shame that Starbucks stores do not have it on the shelves any longer in the U.S. I also miss the the silver tin that the tea was stored in vice the flimsy cardboard boxes. It really makes a difference when introducing the tea to my friends (especially my English confidantes). Please bring back the silver tin. I will pay. January 8, 2015
