You are a spicy one, aren't you?

Like a drive through an exotic marketplace with the windows rolled down, this blend of black teas will fill your senses, while the sweet cinnamon, spicy ginger and fragrant cardamom flirtatiously grab the steering wheel to take you in another direction.

Black Tea

Black tea is the fully oxidized leaf of Camellia sinensis and requires the most processing. The brewed liquor ranges between dark brown and deep red. Black teas offer the strongest flavors and, in some cases, the greatest astringency.

Did You Know?

Masala chai translates as "spiced tea." Chai wallahs are tea vendors who serve up hot, steaming cups of chai throughout India and South Asia.

Tasting Notes Creamy, sweet spice.

For Best Brewing

  1. Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil at 212F (100c).
  2. Pour 8 fl oz (236 ml) of water over the sachet in your cup.
  3. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Wait patiently for perfection.

This is the best Chai blend that I have found (better than the new blend with oolong).

Why did you stop carrying this?! Please, please restock the tea -- OR at least carry it online.

Wonderful aroma and taste

By JanS

from Santa Clara, CA, USA

I drink Masala Chai everyday. And Tazo's Whole Leaf Chai tea is my go to choice when I don't want to brew loose tea. A staple in my house and also at work.

Chai is fantastic

Chai full leaf tea is a great way to start your day with a little spice. The container keeps the tea fresh until your next cup of tea.

A Wonderful Tea

By kt2344

from Vancouver, WA, USA

As a tea drinker in a coffee drinking world, I didn't have high hopes for Starbucks tea. But I was pleasantly surprised. Starbucks Chai Full Leaf Tea had a wonderful aroma and was full of flavor. I shall purchase this tea again.

Where's the tea?

By Donna540

from Undisclosed

I have been purchasing the tins of Chai tea from Starbucks for about 3 years. Over that time I have noticed decreases in the amount of tea leaves and spices in the bags. With the newest change in the design of the tin the amount is so small I have had to use 2 bags for the same effect.
Might I suggest packaging your tea in a less expensive container instead of cutting back on the tea.
Looking elsewhere for my chai fix.

Where have all the spices gone?

By SpicelessInSeattle

from Seattle

My husband and I used to drink this tea every morning. We love it! We just stocked up and noticed the new packaging. Then we had our first cup and it tasted terrible. The tea is weak, has no flavor at all, and there are no spices anymore. It's awful. I bought 12 boxes from a online merchant and just returned the 11 unopened boxes. I called Starbucks to see if they had reformulated the tea and they said no. It sure doesn't taste the old stuff in the gold boxes though.

Give Chai a Try

By VirginiaT

Tazo Chai tea has been a wonderful addition to a cold day coupled with a good book. The chai warms your throat and has the perfect amount of spice. The flavors definitely pop, and when mixed with milk, you can make a delightful chai tea latte.
