simple to use, fast coffee I'm new to pour overs but wanted something for when making only one cup instead of french press. The design is nice but probably best on a wider mug than a typical coffee cup or tumbler. I would be nervous pouring into those. It went through quicker than I had expected but worked out great and made delicious coffee. It is also perfect when making that one cup of decaf for the one guest who doesn't want caffeine or the guest who wants mild and everyone else wants bold. April 18, 2014
GREAT COFFEE -- OK BREWER This makes a superb cup of coffee. But besides loving a great cup of coffee, I'm not sure I understand if all of the different kinds of coffee makers are worth cleaning -- when a person can learn to master just the plain 'ol drip maker (especially with an automatic timer}. I have used a couple of different French Presses, a couple of different Italian coffee makers, and now this "pour over brew." Again, they all work well if you just want 1 or 2 cups of great tasting coffee. But again, I don't know if the coffee's ENOUGH BETTER to warrant cleaning all of these gadgets. No instructions came with this but I looked on line {it was very easy}. It's a little heavier than I'd like. I will use it and I will recommend it -- because I'm a coffee lover. Just wanted to express ALL my views. April 1, 2014
Great cone, but not for Wooden Pour Over Stand I ordered this cone as a second cone for the Wooden Pour Over Stand. It is not a suitable second cone because is a different shape underneath, i.e it *doesn't* fit down into the hole on the stand like the cone that comes with the stand. Otherwise, a very nice cone - would be great for use on a coffee mug without the stand. Starbucks customer service kindly let me try this cone with free shipping, so that I could return it at no cost if it didn't fit. March 12, 2014
Great concept I think this a great product but it is a little difficult to gauge the water usage per cup size being used! March 3, 2014
Great for home use. Great product for home/office use. Not so much for travel. I wanted this for travel but its not going to be a good idea. A bit too heavy, large, with thin handle, makes it too easy to break. Also getting a drinkable cup of coffee is an art form, and requires some experimentation and practice. Works great, once you figure out right grind size, and amt of coffee to use. Don't really see the point when you can just use a small pot. February 23, 2014
