For us, the heart of Colombian coffee sits always in the mountains of Nariño.

Here coffee grows at elevations as high as 7,545 feet, where warm tropical days and cool nights let the beans develop slowly. Complex and elegant, medium-bodied with a juicy acidity, herbal notes and a walnut-like finish, this single-origin coffee is a unique collection of flavors. And one found only in this special place. It's the reason we've built relationships here for more than three decades.

Did You Know?

Nariño coffee is grown at altitudes as high as 2,300 m (7,545 ft) amid climate conditions that make it possible to cultivate exceptional coffee: more than 70 inches of rain per year, plenty of sun, and soil with a high percentage of organic material.

Recipe for great coffee

  1. Grind beans just before brewing for the freshest taste. Coarse for coffee press, medium for automatic drip.
  2. Use 2 Tbsp (10 g) ground coffee for every 6 fl oz (180 ml) of cold, filtered water.
  3. To ensure freshness, brew within a week of opening and keep sealed tight in a cabinet (not the refrigerator).

Each coffee requires slightly different amounts of time and temperature during the roasting process to create a cup at its peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor. We classify our coffees in three roast profiles so you can easily find your desired flavor and intensity.

  • Blonde: Blonde-roasted coffees have a shorter roast time, lighter body and mellow flavors.
  • Medium: Medium-roasted coffees are balanced with smooth and rich flavors.
  • Dark: Dark-roasted coffees feature a fuller body and robust, bold flavors.

By Johngren

Narino is a very good coffee but it has a bite in the finish which is absent in reg Starbucks Colombia. We remain dismayed the Starbucks discontinued whole bean Colombia

Just Not Fresh

This coffee was disappointing. The flavor was not unique to a generic Columbian store-bought coffee. The beans lacked any oil. It just wasn't fresh at all. It isn't the worst I've had, but I will never purchase it again.

Ultimate blend

By roadsterluver

from Rancho Murieta, CA, USA

Ok, here's what to do: for a great morning pot of coffee, start with whole beans. Use a "grind and brew" coffee maker, fill with water to the top (10-12 cups), add a Melitta paper filter over the "gold" filter that comes with the coffee maker. Then add two heaping scoops of Starbucks Guatemala, two heaping scoops of Columbia, and two heaping scoops of French Roast. YOU'RE WELCOME!!
