Starbucks® Classic Pour-Over Brewer & Mug Set
Cracked after two months
I bought this from a local starbucks store by the end of August--and it worked well until it cracked like a week ago, when I poured hot water over it.
I was so confused if I should not have poured hot water? But then how was I supposed to make coffee without pouring hot water over the cone? And yet it worked fine for two months... I am so disappointed at the durability of the product.

Not as expected
I contacted Starbucks, two locations, before purchasing this item and specifically asked if this was a Tea Steeper also. However, when I received this item it's only a pour over brewer, there is no way to allow the tea to steep. This is a very sturdy, durable cup but it would be more versatile if the cup had a stopper for the tea to steep. Next time I will be more specific when talking to the representatives.

The cone has a hole that traps water.
There is a hole in the bottom of the cone that can fill the actual cone with water. There is no way for the water to escape. I have tried shaking the cone but the water just drips. I'm assuming the hole is to help the coffee drip faster considering that the cup and cone almost form a seal when in use. Only thing I can recommend is do not submerge the cone in water when washing.

makes excellent coffee
The rating I left on ease of use would be a 5 but... like others I wish the cup was clear glass so I could see what level I'm at... like to leave room. Also the cup is a weird shape would be better if it were a regular cup shape. But that aside the coffee made with this little brewer is THE BEST I've made at home. Be sure to dampen the paper liner first, then add coffee and water only half way and pause. Repeat. Takes about three minutes total for each cup. I'm a one or two cup person so this is just right and plus I don't have a lot of counter space for a coffee machine. Very happy with the pour over. Thank you Starbucks!

so how fast should you pour in the water?
Ok, maybe I just don't understand, but are you supposed to pour the water all at once or are you supposed to pour it slowly? If I pour it quickly it seems the coffee is very weak and if I pour it very slowly I can't seem to get it right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
