This is a coffee of one true love, and three names.
We created it just for a Seattle restaurant in 1975, naming it Jake’s Blend. And people loved it. So many, in fact, that we began hand scooping and blending it to order in our stores, where it was known as 80/20 Blend, for the recipe. The love was so strong we finally made it official, calling it Verona after the city that inspires so many. By any name, this is a thing of pure romance.

I know you guys sell lots of different coffees, but THIS one has been the sole coffee that I buy anymore. My neighborhood retailer keeps running out of it so I had to come to your website to find it. It's even cheaper on your website than at my neighborhood retailer. This coffee is dark, rich, smooth and flavorful and I can't get enough of it.
If you like a bold coffee, this makes a great first cup of coffee for the day. There is no bitter after taste that you find with some bold blends.
For this pound, I used it for making a pot a day. While the bag rated this coffee as dark roast, it ended up with little additional flavor typically provided.
very bold and strong love it
My husband and I have tried many different coffees, but we always come back to Verona. We don't have a Starbucks where we live, so we purchase the bag of ground coffee at our local grocery store. It's always disappointing when they are out of Verona and we have to buy something else.
The Cafe Verona Blend is delicious. That is all.
One thing that suprised me from the moment I opened the bag was the floral/fruity notes the coffee has. Though, it's a little on the lighter side for being labeled as a dark roast, so people like me, who enjoy a good cup of french roast, would need to put more coffee per cup to get it up to taste. Overall it's an interesting experiment, but I doubt I would buy another bag. The french roast is where it's at for me.
The ground coffee as sent along with the whole beans is 80% at least good tasting than the same beans you grind yourself.
Bold but not too bold. Great flavor. My favorite coffee
