I really like the style & function of this stainless steel mug. It really does keep cold & hot drinks at a desirable temp! I (personally) haven't had ant problems with the lid or the stainless steel straw...perhps, some of the customers got a "defective" lid. As far as the "hard" straw goes... I've NEVER bumped my teeth on it. I don't understand "how" these folks are sipping on the straw and banging their teeth with it? Perhaps, my 5 year old niece might do some banging with the straw, but a big 'olé adult should know how to use a straw!lol
Keeps my water cold for hours, doesn't sweat on the outside like so many other cups.
I use it daily and love it
This cup is so great for keeping drinks cold for hours! The one thing that I don't care for is the metallic taste, but I switched to a plastic straw from one of my other Starbucks cold cups, and it works perfectly! The lid can be testy. It may spin several times, like it won't close completely, but it will. I've owned this cup for several months now, and it still works great.
While I love the look of this cup set and the fact that it does work really well at keeping your iced beverages cold I can't suggest buying it because I have chipped my tooth on the metal straw. Bumping a hard plastic straw against your teeth isn't usually hurtful but this metal straw really is a bad choice.
i just bought this cup last weekend. I dont know if i need to wash it more or what but it gives liquids a metallic taste. ive read some things, this is my first stainless steel cup. hopefully it will fade. I do love design of the cup and so many others have great things to say.
I use this cup for lemon water and the taste of metal each time I sip through the straw isn't masked like it may be if you have a stronger tasting beverage, like coffee. Not sure how safe that is.
The straw is also super painful if you bang it into your teeth and the cup is not dishwasher safe and scratches very easily.
Looks great, but not practical.
It has a really classy look to it and does what it says. I gave it 4 stars only because I would have liked it to keep my drink cold longer than it does.
I love this cup its perfect for everything I use it for. The only thing I would change is the straw. I have had no problems but I have an uneasy feeling every time I use the metal straw. I solved this by buying extra plastic straws from the accessories :)
Just bought this and I have to say, if you want a cold drink to stay cold...this is the cup! Love it!
I was super excited to get one of these at a local Starbucks. I bought the gold one but now I'm worried about it getting scratched up and looking bad. I hope I don't regret not getting the plain one. Anyways, it kept my drink really cold, however and so far I think I'm the only one who doesn't care for the straw. First sip and I smacked my front tooth into the straw. Besides that it felt really strange sipping through a hard metal straw. After hitting the tooth I decided to use one of my plastic straws.
