This stainless steel tumbler features a unique "rollerball" system to open and close the lid.
The tumbler's double wall helps to keep hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold, while the easy-grip band around the center features a wavy, indented texture for holding and carrying comfortably. The tumbler holds up to 16 fl oz and fits standard car cup holders.

I almost didn't buy this based on the reviews, but thought I'd try it anyway. I did a trial run with a cup of very hot tea, and it was still scalding after 20 minutes, hot after 1.5 hours, and still hot enough to enjoy at 2 hours. As this is about the maximum time I need, I am quite happy with it. I also like the felt pad on the bottom. It is heavy, though, and the stainless parts get quite hot, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Well I was all excited about my new Starbucks cup until today when I went to drink my coffee after an hour and it was ice cold. Starbucks double wall cups usually keep my coffee hot for hours. What a disappointment the Rollerball Pattern Tumbler was. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it. Save yourself $20!
Guaranteed cold cup of coffee in no time. Very hard to drink from. Worse cup I ever bought and wish I could give it back!
Bought this to replace my last insulated tumbler which would keep things hot or cold most of day. This one had the look, but as it turns out, lacks the vacuum insulation; therefore keeps things neither hot nor cold. It sure looks good, but is entirely worthless as an insulated container.
This seemed to be a substantial tumbler with a very clever roller valve lid. Well, it's substantial alright, i.e. it's heavy. But the real problem is when filled with hot coffee the entire tumbler is almost too hot to touch. Does not insulate at all. The roller ball is kinda neat but it will also be hard to keep clean. At least i only drink black coffee. If you like some of the fancier drinks the valve will fill with gunk. I'm going to see if i can return this but since i've used it not sure that's possible? Get the "Stainless Steel Tumbler - Graphite" instead. I have one and works great and that tumbler stays cool to touch when filled with hot coffee.
This is the very best stainlesss steel tumbler I have ever seen. The double wall keeps ice in drink for hours, you can't believe it. The top is the best as well. It's not only cool looking but works excellent too. I only wish Starbuck's would start selling individual tops like this. I would buy a dozen!
This is the worst tumbler I've ever had and I have 3 Contigo's, 3 stainless steel Starbucks and 2 Thermos. When I saw it at the store I said how nice is it. When I picked it up from the shelf I said how well constructed it is, and it has very good finish. When I got back home and tried it with hot / cold coffee and water I got very disappointed. It does not keep your beverage hot / cold for 20 minutes. The tumbler gests so hot that your hands burn (as an other reviewer said that is your coffee getting cold). I do not understand how a company like Starbucks can sell this piece of trash. Too bad!
Lot's to hate about this mug. And it's easier when you paid this much for it expecting quality. It looks bombproof, beefy double walls. But it gets so hot as it draws the heat off your drink, which is almost instantly cold, pre-heat or no. The roller ball is cool but not effective. There's a little thingy, a plunger that opens when you push the ball to drink mode: it's supposed to release the vacuum but it doesn't work half the time, so you tip the mug back and get either nothing or a gusher of semi-hot liquid. And the ball is, as I said, a cool design (to match the cool coffee) but, with drinks like Chai, it gets sticky and you get to transfer that stickiness to your schnoz. Other reviews says it leaks. Hasn't for me. I guess I have that to look forward to...
I just read the reviews slamming this item and my first thought was perhaps there was a flawed batch? I say this only because I am very hard on my coffee tumblers and have found this one to be the best I have ever purchased. So well worth the price that just this last week I went in search of another. It keeps my coffee warm far longer than any other I have ever used and I no longer have to worry about tossing it in to the dishwasher (as I did with all the "plastic" tumblers.) Design-wise, it's attractive and easy to hold. Fits well in to a golf bag cup holder, too!
Bought this a week ago because i liked the look and the design. Now the lid no longer seals and spills coffee everywhere. On the upside it does not spill hot coffee because the "double walled" feature doesn't work either. Not worth the $20.00+. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!
