The Sertão Estate is hailed as one of the first farms to produce coffee in Brazil’s Carmo de Minas region. Under José Isidoro Pereira and Nazareth Dias Pereira, three generations have thrived on the area’s steep, sprawling hillsides. With children and grandchildren now involved in running the farm, traditions are growing and evolving to include roasting and exporting coffee, and even sharing a coffee shop with the community.
It’s a rich family legacy, and it culminates in a wonderfully distinctive flavor enhanced by the sun-dried method. Every cup unfolds with a bright, delicate sweetness, reflecting the deep connection between a family and the land they’ve come to know and love.
