The farmers who bring us this lot took up coffee in 2001 as a way to strengthen their community. Mindful of the fact that coffee cultivation requires collaboration and trust, they saw it as a catalyst for reconciliation and rebuilding. Working with farmers in one of Rwanda’s poorest areas, the Maraba co-op now delivers exceptional coffees like this one.
But this coffee community does so much more. Their harmonious approach is exemplary—farmers and workers value accountability above all else, and it’s working: since Maraba’s inception over 200 active wet mills have opened, building undeniable momentum for a coffee we are proud to offer for a second year.
