Perú San Ignacio
Rooted in centuries-old coffee tradition, the Cajamarca region in Peru produces some of the world’s finest coffee. One co-op in San Ignacio, Unión y Fe, truly exemplifies the region’s pride and passion for the bean. A Unión y Fe member farmer introduced drying sheds to preserve a coffee crop’s consistency, establishing this simple, yet highly effective method of processing in the region.
Member Horacio Neyra says, “I produce quality coffee and thus improve our quality of life.” This commitment to outstanding coffee along with continual economic and environmental betterment is manifested in the co-op’s name—meaning “Union and Faith”—as well as in this exceptional lot.
