This refined sip-with flavors reminiscent of Antigua coffees- is from the premier crop planted seven years ago by two brothers, third-generation coffee farmers, who realized a dream to grow specialty coffee and create a viable future for their children.
With respect for nature's positive influences on coffee cultivation, Oscar and Christian Schaps located their farm in the fertile boil region, long renowned for producing some of Guatemala's finest coffees.

Did You Know?
Finca Los Caballitos is literally translated as Little Horses Farm and pays homage to the rich Mayan history of the Chajul area. Oscar and Christian Schaps, the owners, purchased land from Finca La Perla, which produced a Cup of Excellence coffee in 2006.
The climate in the area is hot and humid, and receives over 200 inches of rain annually. It is a prime area for farming and the area supports a wide selection of other staples, including cardamom, macadamia nuts and grains.
Of the thousands of coffees we encounter in our search for the best, only a precious few are deemed exceptional enough to become Starbucks Reserve® coffees, offered only for limited times at select stores.
