This Japanese tea was first discovered by a Kyoto tea merchant who refused to let his unsold Bancha go to waste. So he roasted it, bringing to life a new flavor profile wildly enjoyed today. Our blend of Sencha, Bancha and Kukicha (twig tea) is roasted over high heat to produce a caramelized, smoked aroma with a slightly vegetative note—excellent hot or chilled over ice for a refreshing treat.

Worth your money During arrival I put off drinking this bad boy for nearly a week. It has a very nutty, and somewhat gross smell. Skeptical, I steeped my tea to find out just as it says 'it's a treat' After steeping the smell of the tea showed its true colors. I could smell and taste the sweet caramelized taste. Lovely! Great treat, also nice iced too! December 17, 2013
