A stainless steel tumbler and favorite coffee mug in one.
The coffee tumbler's high polish stainless steel exterior helps keep beverages hot longer, while the ceramic inner liner is great for sipping. The center ring is easy to grip, and the plastic press-in lid with silicone seal has sliding feature for greater spill resistance on the go. Embossed Starbucks® name on side. Cushioned pad on bottom. Holds 12 fl oz. Hand wash only. Do not microwave.

I was so happy to receive this cup as a gift till I poured my first coffee into it. I picked it up and practically burned my hand. I could have poured it into a metal cup with the same effect. I was shocked that there was no insulation properties for this cup!
I really like this mug for a home or office setting. Stays warm longer than a traditional mug with the lid and double lined tumbler. The shiny stainless shows fingerprints and smudges more than I think a regular stainless finish would but otherwise great simple mug!
Once hot liquid has been poured, the outside of the mug becomes super hot to the touch. Sometimes too hot to hold for more than a few seconds. Needs a sleeve. An older ceramic version had a rubber sleeve.
I purchased this mug because I like my coffee very hot, and steel walls keep the heat better and longer. I also prefer to actually drink from ceramic.
This was the best of both worlds. The mug does keep coffee hotter much longer than a regular mug.
The ONLY change that would make this absolutely perfect would be the addition of a handle.
Once hot liquid has been poured, the outside of the mug becomes super hot to the touch. Sometimes too hot to hold for more than a few seconds. I counter this by using either silicone wrist bands from causes I support, or by using a java sleeve.
Perfect, not only is it beautiful but it's a nice, sturdy tumbler that keeps my coffee & hands warm.
I have several Starbucks tumblers and this one is, by far, the worst. It doesn't hold heat at all. I think this is largely in part because the lid doesn't close all the way. The lid is designed in such a way that the spout is always exposed. This results in all hot beverages cooling within a few minutes. I end up with cold (not lukewarm, not hot) coffee in less than 15 minutes.
This is a monetary waste for me, especially when taking my tumbler into my local Starbucks store for use when purchasing hot beverages. I live in Texas, so I would suspect customers who experience much colder temperatures would have a colder cup of coffee much faster.
If you like your hot coffee to stay warm at all, do NOT purchase this tumbler.
I love my tumbler, I have had it for a year. The lid doesn't really close. I don't think its hot to hold. It is warm but not hot.
This is an attractive tumbler to have sitting on your desk. I chose it for the ceramic interior since I find coffee from a stainless steel tumbler gets a strange taste that I don't care for, yet I love the look stainless steel gives. My biggest complaints are as follows: the materials do not control temperature, so it's warm/hot to the touch with a freshly brewed cup. The stainless portion, while beautiful, is a bit slippery; this is combatted by the black plastic "ring" that separates the stainless & ceramic portions. The lid has an always-open spout, which cools your beverage quickly. The mug (obviously) is not microwave safe. Now for the pros: oddly, I actually kind of like the slippery feel, since I know it will stop at that ring. The warmth on the mug makes me like holding it, once it's a reasonable temp. The lid is easy to put on evenly & take off, no screwing involved. Flavor is not compromised by the ceramic interior. All in all, I'm satisfied with this purchase.
I LOOOVE this mug. I love the stainless steel which keeps it very hot and I like my coffee and teas VERY, VERY hot. I love drinking from the ceramic insert instead plastic which is what is on most travel mugs. Yes, the stainless steel gets extremely hot and is impossible at times to hold. My recommendation to Starbucks is PLEASE make this exact same mug with a handle attached and that would make it just perfect. I am purchasing another one because the one I have got knocked over on my kitchen table and the ceramic broke. I do realize ceramic is fragile but I am willing to try it again just because of the feel of drinking from the ceramic surpasses all other mugs I have had in the past.
Like the looks.
Wanted a ceramic mug rather than stainless.
Wanted 'open' top since smell is about half of taste.
Insulating is a misnomer, can be almost too hot to handle, going to put a sleeve around the cup. Holds in more heat than non 'insulated' cup.
Met most of my needs, I'll keep it and add a sleeve to it and it will work fine.
