Double-Wall Stainless Steel Coffee Press, 8-cup
I like the quality of the press. Coffee is kept warm . I do not like the wood handles. The handle started peeling even though I handwash.

Makes great coffee and keeps it hot!
I just used this coffee press a few times so far and I love it! My old coffee press was bodium and made out of recycled plastic and the coffee was ok but was always cold by the 2nd cup.
This coffee press makes great coffee and it was still hot when I went back for cup #3! Plus I love the look and it goes with my kitchen! Highly recommend

Solution to Wood Finish Chipping
Well, I read all the reviews over the past 9 months and I understood the pluses and minuses of this Coffee Press. When the price was reduced, I bought the product.
As stated in many of the review, the wood finish begins to crack and chip off within 2 weeks. Part of my decision to acquire the press was my knowledge of wood finishes for I am a cabinet maker and woodworker by profession.
Here's the solution to this wood finish problem for those of you who are handy or so inclined.
When the time is right and the cracked finish has annoyed you enough, remove the wood handle grips by unscrewing the 3 screws which secure the wood to the metal press handle. Using 100 grit sandpaper, sand off the existing finish by hand on the three exposed sides of wood handles. This will take about 15 to 20 minutes of your time. Repeat this process using 150 grit sandpaper about 8 minutes. Repeat again with 220 grit sandpaper and sand until the three sides are smooth to your satisfaction about 8 minutes. Apply with a small brush or cloth Red Mahogany stain.
Follow drying directions and then seal with WIPE-ON POLY. Do this 4 times or more, sanding with 240 grit between coats. When your happy with the depth of the finish, let dry for 24 hours and then re-install the handles grips to the metal handle on the press. The problem has been eliminated. It's been 4 weeks and no sign of cracking. The new finish has now penetrated the grain of the wood as opposed to the original finish which was sprayed on during manufacturing process. It's a great coffee press. Good Luck and Enjoy the press for many years!

Needs some work
This coffee press is functional, however, so are the other, more affordable coffee presses Starbucks sells. The handle and the top of this press start to flake, making your 2 week old press look like a 8 year old press. The insulation of it is great and will keep coffee warm, but I refuse to recommend this to customers until the problem is fixed.
