Double-Wall Stainless Steel Coffee Press, 8-cup
Don't do it!
I went against the advice id other reviewers and bought because it really is sharp. Knowing in advice that the wood finish is delicate I didn't put in dishwasher and washed by hand. Within a week half the finish came off.
It's a shame because it's so nice however id avoid because it's so bad I don't want to leave out on my counter top.

Design Element Durability: Disappointing
I was looking to replace my glass press with a press that would keep coffee hot longer. I saw this handsome press and admired the look of it, but not at full price. Happily, I was able to pick it up on sale. But that doesn't make up for the disappointment I feel when I see how the handle and the plunger top have peeled and chipped so quickly with normal use. If you need a workhorse, this press is great. If you need a gift for a coffee lover, keep looking.

Poor quality of wood
The function is great, the coffee tastes great and the design is appealing. However, the quality of components is poor. The wood splits, peels and flakes all over the place. I am extremely careful to only wash this by hand and to generally not get the wood wet, but it still is in horrible condition after very little time. My first one cracked after a week. I exchanged it for a new one, but after just two weeks and the same thing happened. I'm very disappointed.

Yup the handle peels!
We read the reviews before we bought this pot and thought we could be careful enough not to let the handle peel. We were wrong! Even though we only rinsed the inside out, never submerged the pot, never put it in the dishwasher, the seam on the handle got a little wet and the handle is peeling!

NOT high quality
Within weeks the finish has started to peal off the handle. I have to say the pealing finish does not change how the coffee is made it just makes the press look cheap. I only hand wash the press and have never left the press to soak in water.
