Inspired by the fertile lands that produce great coffee, this mug features sketched line art in coffee-brown tones.
Paying tribute to coffee origins and the lands where great flavor is born, this new bone china coffee mug with the tapered bottom features an earth-tone hatchmark pattern reminiscent of coffee rows. Holds 12 fl oz. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Commemorative box included.
The coffee plant is an evergreen shrub that matures in volcanic soil, flowers once a year and produces ripe, red cherries nine months later. How a cherry is processed—separating the seed (bean) from the fruit—contributes significantly to flavor.
When we first opened our doors in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 1971, our passion for coffee began. It's been about growing, sourcing, blending, roasting, brewing and handcrafting great coffee ever since. We share that knowledge, passion and experience with you in this series of exclusive, collectible mugs. Each mug represents an element in the creation of great coffee from farm to cup.

Looks good. Just the right size.
Very attractive yet functional.
The first mug in the Artisan Series is my favorite. I also bought the next three mugs in the series. I am very impressed with the look and the feel.
Prefer these cups that can go in the microwave. Looking forward to having the whole set.
Love the Origins mug as not only is it beautiful, it keeps my coffee hot for a long time. Saw it in store and was unfortunately sold out when went back to buy it in the store so bought one online. It came in a beautiful box with details about the series. I have mug 03/08 and plan to buy the whole series in near future.
I really love the weight and design of this mug. It also keeps the coffee hot for a nice length of time. I am now collecting the artisian series.
I absolutely love this mug. I saw it at the Starbucks Store and had planned to come back to buy it. When I did go back a few weeks later, every last one was sold.
I went to the online store and was able to purchase it. I thought that maybe because of the shape, my coffee would get cool faster. To my surprise, it stayed just as hot in this mug and was very enjoyable. I love my Artisan Series Origins Mug and plan to buy another very soon.
I have both the first and second cup in this series. They are well made, beautiful cups. I am looking forward to future ones to complete the series of eight!
I purchased the first two of this series as gifts for my daughters, but when I received the mugs, I was very surprised at how beautiful the mugs are.--so I will be purchasing a few myself. The mugs come in a very attractive box, and the box is labeled so you can identify the number in the series. The mugs are also labeled. Looking forward to the entire series!
I really like the design of this cup. It stacks nicely and the design is reflective of coffee that is grown the best ,both sides of the equator therefore the golden horizontal line around the cup. Looking foward to collecting each cup as they are released.
