Chambord Coffee Press by Bodum®, 8-cup

This classic 8-cup coffee press is still made with the same painstaking craftsmanship as the original from the fifties, but this latest version has a new chrome-plated steel frame and lid that will last for years. It features a wide, matte-black polypropylene handle that provides a cool, comfortable grip and adds to the modern style of the design. The borosilicate glass carafe is heat-resistant, and the entire press is dishwasher safe.

How to Brew

To make the finest coffee, use 1 rounded tablespoon of coarse-ground coffee for each 4-fl oz cup of coffee, and follow these simple steps:

  1. Add fresh, coarsely ground coffee to the pot.
  2. Pour in well-temperated water (not boiling) and stir.
  3. Wait 3 – 4 minutes.
  4. Stop the brewing process by gently pressing down the plunger.

Original coffee press design from the fifties is considered by coffee connoisseurs as one of the best ways to brew coffee.

Stainless steel frame and lid feature a durable, polished surface.

Heat-resistant borosilicate glass carafe holds up to 1 liter/34 fl oz.

Dishwasher safe

Make Delicious Coffee at Home We love our Bodum French Press. I have used French Presses for years (after a trip to France) when wanting a smaller quantity of coffee. I resisted for a while because clean up was messy but then discovered an easy way to clean up. Simply put a paper towel in the drainer of your sink. Put a little liquid in the grounds in the pot and then pour into the paper towel. Let it drain and then transfer the grounds and paper towel to the trash. I now will use my French Press instead of my large pots since clean up is so easy and the taste is fabulous! In addition, I priced this French Press pot in a variety of coffee stores and the Starbuck's on line price is the best I could find. December 22, 2014
Best Value We stopped using our Tassimo, as soon as we received our 8cup Bodum coffee press. Best tasting coffee, so easy to prepare, even my kids love pressing it! December 14, 2014
As expected, excellent all around I had a mini French Press for one, but wanted a larger one. This fits the bill, is easy to use, and the coffee tastes wonderful and never bitter. This serves up 3-4 normal 8-10 oz. coffee mug sizes, so that "8 cup" descriptor is for 4 oz cups- just so you know! December 8, 2014
in love I ise this everyday it makes my coffee so delicious and has given me an appreciation for coffee that I thought I already had but clearly did not. This has replaced my Keurig machine and I don't think I'll ever go back November 22, 2014
decent quality for the price on sale Not happy, quality is fine, but press doesn't go to the bottom. You have to use a lot more coffee grounds and its too strong to drink. If I wanted an expresso machine I would have bought that rather than the press November 7, 2014
