Assam Glass Teapot by Bodum®, 4-cup

A 4-cup glass teapot and innovative tea press system that gives you control over the brewing process.

Assam Glass Teapot by Bodum®, 4-cup

A modern twist on the traditional teapot, the Assam Glass Tea Pot is made from durable, heat-resistant and dishwasher-safe borosilicate glass and features Bodum's innovative tea press system. Its durable plastic filter and dual plunger/lid make it perfect for brewing up to 4 (8 fl oz) cups of loose-leaf tea. Just add hot water, brew to your liking, and then press down on the plunger. The press compresses the tea leaves below the infusion holes in the strainer, completely stopping the brewing process so you don't end up with over-brewed, bitter tea. There's no need to remove the filter, and there's no mess. Beautiful.

How to Prepare

Brewing loose-leaf tea is easy with the Assam.

Simply add your favorite black, green, or herbal tea to the infuser. Pour hot water over the tea, filling the pot. Allow the tea to brew to your liking and then press.

The patented press system separates the tea leaves from the water, completely stopping the brewing process and eliminating bitter tea.

Tea press holds up to 34 fl oz and is perfect for brewing loose teas or tea bags.

Heat-resistant borosilicate glass is durable and dishwasher safe.

Patented system with plastic infuser stops brewing when tea is plunged, so there is no need to remove the infuser.

Dishwasher-safe parts

Great It is very pretty, and easy to use. I love the fact you can brew a couple pots from one set of leaves. Plus I can take it with me into the other room to keep pouring a fresh cup while I work on the computer. January 22, 2015
Awesome tea pot!! It's perfect!! Just the right size!! No tea leaves left in your cup. November 17, 2014

Works Good Had a hard time finding an item like this in stores, I searched all over. finally found on Starbucks Web site. Works good, Should have a separate top to use after the tea infuser is removed. wish they had in there brick and mortar stores, but I couldn't find, had to order online. Shipping was quick. Would recommend. October 21, 2014
Somewhat disappointing! I was so excited to get this as I love a hot cup of tea before bed. As I only had tea bags at the time i put them in the filter and tried it that way. It was not as strong as a like it a felt that it could of used more bags. I think the problem is in the design of the filter itself. There are no holes at the bottom to let the brewed tea escape. I would rather just use a tea ball! So I ended up just putting the tea bags in first and then putting in the filter cylinder, because you can even use the pot without the cylinder in place. I think you would waste a lot of loose tea just using it. I am seriously considering send it back. Problem is it does hold just the right amount of water, is easy to pour and the handle does not get hot. It is also very nice looking. There was no warranty card or even a tea sample with the purchase. Good in theory but fails in practical use . Hope this helps someone! August 30, 2014
