Sustainability, Recycling & Energy

Are the coffee pods recyclable?
The pods may be disposed of with your recyclable plastic waste. Please confirm with your local recycling or solid waste authority.

What are the coffee pods made of?
The main body of the pod is made from polypropylene and the film from Polyethylene terephthalate and Polypropylene carbonate. They may be recyclable and are food grade materials.

What is the machines energy rating? How much energy does it consume?
When in use the machines energy consumption is lower than 1.455 W/h. The exact numbers are depending of what kind of mode you use and in which stage the machine is operating. As the machine does use a small amount of power in stand-by mode, we recommend, for extended periods of non-use, switching the machine off at the power plug.

Does the machine have a standby mode?
Yes, so long as the machine is switched on at the plug it will use energy (<0.5W/h). We recommend switching the machine off at the plug when not in use.
